The majority of adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) will transition from a pediatric to an adult specialist. This process can be daunting, especially if patients are not ready to take control of their health care. Host Dr. Adam Ehrlich joins Dr. Philip Stein, a pediatric gastroenterologist at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, to discuss how physicians can best prepare patients to transition and overcome potential difficulties.
