NEI Steering Committee

Part of what makes this Saving Sight, Preventing Vision Loss in Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Macular Edema educational initiative so groundbreaking is that it combines the expertise of a retinal specialist, ophthalmologist, endocrinologist, Director of the Office of Research on Women's Health, and the Director of the Division of Epidemiology and Clinical Applications at the National Eye Institute. These five experts comprised the initiative’s Steering Committee and contributed to the development of this comprehensive curriculum by offering insights and case reviews from their own experiences.
