IBD Clinical Case Simulation Video Library: Introduction (Video 1)
RestartResume

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and NYU Langone Health have joined forces to provide gastroenterology fellows in training with an online Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinical Case Simulation Video Library.

Originally developed as part of the Foundation’s Visiting IBD (VIBD) Fellowship Program due to COVID restrictions, this library features a video by Lisa B. Malter, MD, to introduce you to the video library, followed by 10 videos that feature clinical scenario simulations of leading IBD experts with patients (played by actors), to provide a virtual clinical educational opportunity across the gamut of IBD care for gastroenterology fellows.

Within each video is a physician-patient clinical case simulation (about 15 minutes), followed by a short review of clinical and professional teaching points by  teaching faculty from the Foundation’s Professional Education Committee (about 5 minutes).  Please be sure to view the Library videos in order (videos 1-11), and to review the learning objectives for each of the simulations below before starting the video.

*Please note these videos depict simulations of possible clinical care scenarios (using actors as patients), intended for use by physicians in training for educational and informational purposes only. They are not intended for use by the public, and must not be used as medical advice or to determine diagnosis or treatment. Any individual having gastrointestinal symptoms, or any symptoms of illness, should see their own physician or healthcare provider for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and advice.
